What amazing scenery
Eagles Rest is nestled in the gorgeous setting of Geary in Waternish with panoramic views across the Minch to Harris and North Uist. Directly in front of us are the Ascrib Islands ,
designated a European Special Area of Conservation for its
common seal colonies.
Enjoy spectacular views from the living area downstairs or pop out onto the balcony with the binoculars and you will observe the fantastic array of wildlife passing by.
During your stay all guests are welcome to explore the croft from the exiting cliff path winding down to the sea
(Not for the faint hearted) where you will find the skeletal
remains of a large whale which stranded in 2006 and encounter red deer which live in the cliff top woodland.
Ben Geary , the highest point in Waternish , is accessible directly from the croft and the unspoilt beach and forestry at Aros Bay can clearly be seen from Eagles Rest less than a mile away is also a very popular walk
