“Thank you for a wonderful welcome and a great holiday. The cottage has been so comfortable and cosy and meant we do not mind the weather we have had. The attention to detail and little touches in the cottage are delightful. Our two new best friends Cuillen and Jess have been great fun. Will be recommending the cottage to family and friends. Hope to be back again soon.”

“What a great two weeks! Thank you. Completely agree with your first guests – a lovely welcome from a lovely family (and a great hamper!). Eagles Rest is a wonderfully comfortable place to relax, read sit and stare – we will very much miss the views and constantly changing light and our walks with the exuberant Jess and Cuillen.
The weather has been kind to us, from sea mist to brilliant sunshine. We have been able to take up lots of the ideas in your hugely helpful folder of information. We recommend the Bella Jane boat trip into the Cuillins from Elgol and on a Monday a trip to Lewis + Harris – worth the early start. Calanais breathtaking at 8 in the morning. Also walks to waternish and Ardmore points. Catch the Glendale Toy Museum while you can and lunch / tea at the Red Roof Cafe – a real treat.
Wonderful wildlife and a holiday to remember!”

“You wait all year for an Eagle then 3 come at once! Great place to stay, details perfect (bed, towels etc) we wish you the best in this venture – and perhaps some yurts next year”.

“A fantastic place for two - the cottage could not be better. Real attention to detail. Like you had taken the best boutique hotel suite and added a kitchen and living area and put it in just about the best scenery with the best view you are likely to get anywhere in the UK. Great for exploring or just sitting and watching the sky and the sea change shades - and not just one eagle but a selection! We saw both sea and golden eagles daily. Excellent hosts who can’t do enough for you and are a mine of information. Plus the two best behaved and charming black labs ever.”

“Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday. You could not have been more friendly, helpful or welcoming. Our cottage was immaculate and very modern in terms of decor and amenities, all of which made our stay very comfortable. We will all miss the fresh air, stunning view and most of all Cuillen and Jess (firm friends and running partners). We will definitely recommend you to all our friends & family & for our own part hope to be back soon. 10/10. Brilliant”.
